What's Wrong With You?

Why have so many people lost their minds all at the same time?   What is going on?  DENIAL has become as much a part of life as breathing.  For some of us it has replaced the moral part of our core being.  Everyone thinks their entitled to have their way!  The level of selfishness displayed to push one's own personal agenda is pathetic.

We have media personalities who have the audacity to hide behind journalistic credentials and declare that they are fair and balanced.  Fair and balanced to whom?  Certainly not to the public audience they are supposed to serve.  The misinformation and one-sided views that are perpetuated upon the public is shameful and rarely serves any useful purpose. They should all be obliterated from the airwaves immediately!!!

A certain wife of a Supreme Court Justice recently phoned her husband's victim and suggested she actually apologize to her husband for his crude and disrespectful behavior.  Lady wake up and pull your head out of your ass and realize what you married.   Even if you believe everything that he ever told you, what makes you think that you have the right to suggest she apologize?  You were never accused of anything (although I think STUPIDITY should be on the list) so it wasn't your place to suggest anything, especially ten years later.  Yeah and HOW DID YOU GET HER PHONE NUMBER ANYWAY?  I bet she didn't give it to you.  Stop at nothing to get what you want mentality in action!!!

We have a schmuck running for Governor of the great state of New York. What a mess!!! He blew up at a reporter and literally got in his face becoming extremely belligerent.  Apparently anger is how he expresses himself.  He has a child who is the result of an extramarital affair.  He accused his opponent of having affairs that have yet to be proven.  We've also learned that he circulated via email pornographic photographs of people in various sexual acts with captions like Awesome and Dream Job.  New York State's last two Governors have admitted extramarital affairs, one with hookers.  Do we really need another cheater?  We're going to be known as the WHOREMONGER capital of the free world!!!!

Recently a local college student committed suicide after learning that his roommate filmed him having sex with another man.  His roommate and a friend thought that it was funny and no big deal, so they put the video online for all to see.  One major issue was this young man's family did not know he was gay.  So understandably he was horrified upon learning of this betrayal.  He realized that the entire world would be able to view what was a very private and intimate act.  I am deeply sorry that this young man thought his only solution was suicide.  I hope that the people involved are prosecuted and punished.  I know that it isn't possible but I wish they could be forced to live the rest of their lives on video for the entire world to see.  Every mistake, every personal, private moment exposed to all.  Then they would get it. 

Your children are not beautiful perfect angels.  Most of you have spawned little monsters who are demons disguised as children.  Your kid can sit in front of you and do anything and get away with it.  It's out of control.  Where are your parenting skills?  If you don't have any, then learn some.  What's most appalling is that in many cases the father is right there and has even less control than the mother.  When my mother said to me and my siblings, "I'm going to tell your father,"  she struck fear in our hearts.  Why do you have to repeat yourself so many times to your child?  Your children, lie, steal, disobey, fight, talk back, break things, touch things that don't belong to them, throw things, hit, kick and spit on people.  Yet they still have a full set of teeth.  I know my mother would have quickly knocked all of tarnation out of me!!!!

This brings me to the point of the title, "What's Wrong With You?"  For those of you who don't know better, this is not reasonable behavior although it has become acceptable. The media used to be informative and verified information before they released it.  Children used to be controlled by their parents and most politicians were smart enough to keep their deviant behavior secret from the public.  Humiliating a person to the point of suicide does not make you clever; it makes you a soul engulfed in darkness. 

Where's my Reparations?

There is so much money being spent on corporations and people who shouldn't have their hands in our collective American pockets, that I must now demand my share.  I've waited patiently for the country to realize that they owe me.  Now I must insist upon my reparations, before everything is spent and the country is bankrupt.  If America is going to be handing out free money, how about first handing some over to the ancestors of the people this country directly hurt the most.  You owe us for the free labor used to help build this country, for the rape and assaults against the women, the mutilations and lynching’s against the men and the dehumanization and fracturing of our families.  Where the hell are my 40 acres and a mule?

America is subsidizing everyone and I mean everyone.  There are stimulus packages being handed out to big wealthy corporations who we were told were too big to allow to fail.  Corporate welfare is what it is.  A CEO and their management can devalue a company to its bare bones and get away with it.  Raid the coffers, lie to the shareholders and employees, stonewall investigators, fudge documents and screw the public by using our tax dollars to bail them out.  Whatever it takes to line the pockets of the wealthy elite even more.

Third world nations who couldn't possible pay back all the money we've loaned them.  Once again my tax dollars at work.  Defaulting on interest payments and loans from the International Monetary Fund is as common as taking a bath.  Billions of American dollars have been poured into these countries and most have gone to line the pockets of the corrupt governments that we know are in power in these places.  A little hush money here a little hush money there.  Oh well American citizens will pay for it.  What the hell!!!!

Step your foot on American soil and you're suddenly entitled to any and everything the country has to offer.  Better yet give birth while you're here and you just hit the jackpot!!!!  Food stamps, Medicaid, rental assistance, utility assistance, car fare, dental and eye care assistance.  All you have to do is make it to the border and you're in. It is really a very simple and uncomplicated issue.  If you break the law by entering the country illegally, then you must live your life knowing that one day you can be deported for your actions.  During the course of living your life, working, having children and whatever else you accomplish, you are breaking the law simply by being here.  It is a slight to all the immigrants who enter this country legally to make a better life for themselves.  They filled out the necessary paperwork, waited their turn and now belong here no matter what.  KUDOS to them!!!

Everyday politicians sit in Washington and make back office deals to fund pet projects that are only beneficial to a limited number of people.  How is this good for the country as a whole?  I don't want to pay for a project that doesn't benefit the masses or at least a targeted group of people who really need the help (i.e. handicapped, injured veterans, etc.).  Giving away money to entice an elected politician to vote for your bill has become as American as apple pie.  They're all a bunch of crooks, thieves and whoremongers!!!

Again I ask,  "WHERE ARE MY REPARATIONS?"  I will take a money order, bank check or better yet, CASH.  You can send via messenger, overnight, bank wire, PayPal, certified mail or President Obama can hand deliver it to me anytime he's ready.

Unequally Yoked

When partners are mismatched in any way, they are sometimes referred to as "Unequally Yoked."  I don't generally use this terminology, but I have heard it being used often lately.  A friend of mine asked my opinion on the topic after reading about it.  I told her that I felt generally speaking, it was a personal choice for each of us to make for ourselves.  However I do have issues on a personal level with it because it's the same old, same old. Women are always expected to be the ones to compromise.
A well know magazine recently published an online article about women who marry men who make less than they do.  The questions was asked "Would You Marry Someone Who Makes Less Money Than You Do."  I found this question and the responses very interesting. Women are always expected to compromise and  accept whatever shortcomings a man has.  Women are also made to feel that they have fewer choices than men.  Instead of encouraging women to settle, perhaps we should encourage the men to step up their game.  When 700,000 more black women attend and graduate college than men, that's a problem.  Are we letting men be men when we take care of them?

Each of us should strive to live up to our full potential, not just to our spouse's earnings.  Higher household income can mean better neighborhoods, better schools and better quality of life for our families.  The best way to move forward and upward is education. Therefore men as well as women should be in school getting their advanced degrees to improve their quality of life.  If you have or plan to have a family, then you will need to make as much money as you can.  I don't want to be with someone I have to put on my taxes as a dependent. One of the wives in the article made twice what her husband did.  That is not making less, that is a dependent.
